Mount motor and coupling
- Mount coupling housing.
- Mount coupling half and parallel key to compressor shaft.
- Shift coupling half onto compressor shaft until it is flush with the compressor shaft (KS800).
- Tighten set screw of coupling half in order to fix coupling halve onto compressor shaft (KS800).
- Mount motor. Twist coupling halves until they join together. Screw motor and coupling housing together.
- Check the distance between the coupling halves and, if necessary, adjust it by shifting the coupling halve on the compressor shaft (loosen set screw KS800). Tighten set screw.
- Evacuate compressor.
- Open valves (suction gas side, discharge gas side, Economiser, refrigerant injection, oil supply).
- Check tightness.
Risk of bursting due to excessive pressure!
The pressure applied during the test must never exceed the maximum permitted values!
Test pressure: 1.1-fold of the maximum allowable pressure (see name plate). Make a distinction between the high-pressure and low-pressure sides!
- Switch on the compressor which is being worked on, or the entire system, if necessary.
- Check function and tightness once again during operation.Funktion und Dichtheit nochmals in Betrieb prüfen.
During the running-in period of the new shaft seal (approx. 250 h) a higher oil leak rate may occur.
An oil leak rate of 0,2 cm³ per operating hour is within the tolerance.
