ECO operation with liquid subcooling circuit
- An additional heat exchanger (here: liquid subcooler) is used to subcool the liquid refrigerant by injecting part of the refrigerant from the condenser through an expansion device in counter flow into the subcooler which then evaporates due to heat absorption. The superheated vapour is drawn into the compressor at the ECO connection and mixed with the vapour from the evaporator, which is already slightly compressed (ECO system with liquid subcooling circuit).
- The subcooled liquid refrigerant is at condensing pressure, therefore the pipe to the evaporator does not require any special features, apart from insulation.
Information
Reduced system efficiency due to ambient heat gains in the liquid line!
Reduced system efficiency due to ambient heat gains in the liquid line!
Insulate the liquid line between the liquid subcooler and the expansion valve of the evaporator!
