Change in the BITZER management team

Sindelfingen, 23.07.2015. BITZER SE with its headquarters in Sindelfingen, Germany has partially restructured its management team. Jürgen Kleiner (Chief Procurement Officer) and Helmut Meyer (Chief Sales and Marketing Officer) have both left the company.

Jürgen Kleiner worked for 23 years for the world's largest independent manufacturer of refrigeration compressors. The Managing Director of BITZER SE has left the company at his own request by mutual, amicable consent. "The board of management and the management team are very sorry to see Mr. Kleiner go. We would like to thank him for his outstanding and extremely successful work for BITZER and we wish him all of the best for both his professional and for his private life" said Senator h. c. Peter Schaufler, CEO of BITZER.

The company has already made arrangements for a sound reorganisation. Jürgen Kleiner's responsibility within the management team as head of materials management will be taken up by Christian Wehrle as the new Chief Operations Officer. Christian Wehrle already belonged to the BITZER management team as its Chief Production Officer. With this decision, the responsibility for production and for procurement now lies in one pair of hands.

The new Chief Financial Officer is Frank Hartmann, taking over from Jürgen Kleiner who held this role as an interim measure. This 41-year old is a proven financial expert who has already borne responsibility at BITZER as the Director of Corporate Finance and Treasury at the company headquarters in Sindelfingen. From his previous position as Vice President at Deutsche Bank, Frank Hartmann brings extensive international experience from the financial sector with him and, as a member of the BITZER management team, he will be in close contact with our financial partners.

It was also at his own request and with an amicable mutual agreement that Helmut Meyer has terminated his contract of employment with the company. "In recent years, Mr. Meyer has contributed to the successful development of the BITZER group. We would like to thank him for his many years of dedication in our sales division and we would like to offer him our best wishes for the future, both professionally and personally," emphasized Senator h. c. Peter Schaufler. Helmut Meyer helped to establish the BITZER sales system in South and Central America and he made an essential contribution to setting up our transport refrigeration division.

Gianni Parlanti has taken up the responsibility as Chief Sales and Marketing Officer. Previously, the 47-year old worked in the role of Director of Business Development at BITZER's HQ in Sindelfingen. Before that, he worked for almost eight years as Managing Director of BITZER Refrigeration in Asia. “An important market for the company which he managed very successfully,” said Senator h. c. Peter Schaufler. By choosing Gianni Parlanti, BITZER is emphasizing the significance of the increasing internationalization as our new Chief Sales and Marketing Officer has 25 years of experience in the refrigeration and air conditioning sector and 20 years with compressors. He thus has excellent international contacts, spread all over the world.
