The art of responsible refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump technology: ART OF COMPRESSION Colloquium 2023
Sindelfingen, 28 February 2023. On 25 April 2023, THE SCHAUFLER FOUNDATION is hosting the ART OF COMPRESSION Colloquium for the sixth time together with the Technical University of Dresden and Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences. In addition to the topics of art and refrigerant compressors, this year everything revolves around the responsibility of refrigeration and air conditioning technology.
`Our Responsibilities – Sustainability, Energy and Resource Efficiency`– this is the topic of this year's ART OF COMPRESSION Colloquium which is organized every two years by THE SCHAUFLER FOUNDATION, the Technical University of Dresden and Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences. Interested parties from the fields of refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump technology will be offered a platform for information and exchange on the currently decisive issues in their field of expertise.
On 25 April 2023, well-known personalities from science and industry will give presentations on the responsibility of refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump technology. The speakers include Dr. Reinhard Rademacher (University of Maryland) and Dipl.-Ing. Thomas Mösch (Technical University of Dresden) with food for thought on technological developments of the future, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Reiner Kriesten (Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences) with a lecture on cyber security and Dipl.-Ing. Jörn Schwarz (Ice-TeX-Ingenieurbüro) with approaches to resource efficiency. Art will not be neglected either: the event starts with a guided tour through the current exhibition of the museum SCHAUWERK Sindelfingen with works of art from the Schaufler Collection. Barbara Bergmann, Director of SCHAUWERK Sindelfingen, will talk about sustainability in art.
The event will take place at the BITZER headquarters in Sindelfingen which were occupied in July 2019. Interested parties can register for the ART OF COMPRESSION Colloquium 2023 by 31 March via the linkand also view the agenda there.
Senator h. c. Peter Schaufler (†), long-standing owner and CEO of BITZER, founded THE SCHAUFLER FOUNDATION in 2005. As an entrepreneur, he saw it as his life`s work to support science, research and teaching in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning technology as well as to promote modern art. The foundation is now continuing it in his name: it is a sponsor of SCHAUWERK Sindelfingen and a shareholder in BITZER SE.
