Sindelfingen/Nuremberg, 14.10.2014. BITZER is just as innovative 80 years later and will be showcasing its new developments at Chillventa 2014. One highlight will be the two compact screw compressors of the CSVH series, which trade fair visitors will have the opportunity to see at the BITZER stand (Hall 4, Stands 310 and 408) from October 14 to 16.

The CSVH3 series has joined the segment of speed- controlled compact screw compressors, allowing BITZER to expand its successful CSVH compressor series to include two larger models with a much higher capacity: the CSVH37 facilitates a cooling capacity of 550 kW (+5/50°C) and a displacement of up to 960 m3/h. The CSVH38 is even bigger: with a cooling capacity of 660 kW (+5/50°C) and a displacement of up to 1,156 m3/h, it offers top values in the compact class. BITZER has developed a new housing size to achieve this level of performance. The CSVH3 compressors are based on the tried-and-tested CSH series and accommodate a large range of applications, from liquid chillers to heat pumps.

Greater flexibility – superior energy efficiency
With an ESEER of over 5, the CSVH3 sets new standards for air cooled liquid chillers with dry expansion. The CSVH3 compact screw compressors are ideal for systems often working under part-load and boast optimized IPLV and SCOP values. One major benefit of the CSVH3 series is that it can be combined with BITZER’s CSH and CSW compact screw compressors in a single system, which increases the flexibility of the entire system in both full- and part-load operation. Another advantage is that the soft start feature of the integrated frequency inverter ensures even acceleration of the starting current with no current peaks. Volker Stamer, BITZER Director Sales Stationary Products, notes: “The new CSVH3 compressors combine the benefits of the proven CSH series with additional intelligent functions, thus opening up new potential applications.”

The integrated frequency inverter is also parameterized in the factory and ensures maximum energy efficiency, making it possible to adjust the speed of the compressor in line with operating conditions. The integrated compressor protection and monitoring sensors and magnetic valves make it much easier to ensure reliable operation of the speed-regulated CSVH3 compact screw compressors. That’s because, like the smaller CSVH2, the CSVH3 monitors its own application limits at all times. The compact screw compressors communicate with the controls for the entire system via Modbus.
