Shaft seal
- An oil leak rate of 0,2 cm3 per operating hour is within the tolerance. During the running-in period of the new shaft seal (approx. 250 h) a higher oil leak rate may occur.
- Gas tightness of the shaft seal can be detected by a leak detector. It must be suitable for the respective refrigerant.

Measures to be taken for longer shut-off periods
Longer shut-off periods of a compressor can lead to leakage at the shaft seal or other impairments.
For longer shut-off periods of the compressor, before commissioning:
- Turn the compressor shaft at least 10 revolutions by hand.
