Selection of the liquid subcooler in the BITZER SOFTWARE

An ECO process is shown below in an lg p-h diagram.

As standard, the BITZER Software specifies a temperature difference of 10 K between the saturated ECO temperature and the subcooled liquid when Autom. subcooling is selected. This temperature difference is designated in the diagram below as ΔTeco.

All relevant data on the selection / size of the liquid subcooler are listed in the BITZER Software, as shown in the following figure.

Based on the data displayed, a heat exchanger of suitable size can then be selected, e.g. also in the BITZER SOFTWARE. This must be followed by a recalculation of the performance data of the compressor using the performance data of the liquid subcooler. The actual differences in liquid subcooling or temperature must be specified in the BITZER SOFTWARE.
