Commissioning
Prior to commissioning, safety devices and system control must be carefully adjusted and their function must be checked (Safety devices and system control).
To avoid gear hunting during commissioning, the receiver is filled with a basic supply of refrigerant. This is followed by switching on each compressor individually (procedure in accordance with the relevant operating instructions) and checking immediately for secured oil supply (visual inspection on the sight glass of the compressor or oil level controller). The oil level must be controlled over a longer period of time under all operating and load conditions. If required, the oil supply (level 1/4 .. 3/4 of the sight glass height) and the refrigerant must be topped up. With respect to temperature and oil return, the oil separator must be checked (install a sight glass for visual inspection). The oil return must take place intermittently, a constantly overflowing hot gas/oil mixture indicating a fault. The following causes may be present and must be rectified immediately:
- Overcharging of the system with oil
- Separator too small
- Float valve defective or dirty
For commissioning and maintenance, the respective operating instructions must be additionally observed (Introduction)!
