Cycling rate and minimum running times
For the maximum cycling rates (maximum starts per hour) and the desirable minimum running times of the compressor see the respective Operating Instructions. In general, the following applies for operation with frequency inverter:
- max. 6 starts per hour for compressors with refrigerants R290, R1270, R744 and the H series
- max. 12 starts per hour for the remaining reciprocating compressors
- Adhere to the cycling rate specifications even during maintenance work!
At low motor speeds, the minimum running times may be longer – pay special attention to the oil return.
For work on the compressor once it has been commissioned:
