Provide internet connection:
Variant 1: Plug your LAN cable into the ethernet port 1 (see figure below) to connect a local ethernet network that is connected to WAN (wide area network = internet access). In case of DHCP connection (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), no other steps are required. If a static IP address has been assigned to the gateway in the settings of the router and further settings like a DNS and/or NTP server were required by the administrator of the network: Setup internet connection.
Connect the gateway to BITZER devices, use the shielded cable and D-Sub 9 Pin connector on COM 1 of the gateway (see figure below). For details: Device connection.
Connect the power supply
Connect the power wires to the terminal strip (L/N/PE). Supported supply voltage are 110 .. 240 V AC (50/60 Hz) for the box version.
Connect the power plug of the gateway and apply 9 .. 48 V DC as shown in the figure below.
Power up the gateway.
The gateway will automatically connect to the Bitzer Digital Network.
The following LEDs will turn on within 1 .. 5 min: LED 1 indicates that communication between the gateway and connected devices has been established. LED 4 indicates that communication with the internet has been established. LED 3 indicates that communication with the Bitzer Digital Network has been established.
