Technical design of the compressors

BITZER compressors for R290 and R1270 have been designed especially for operation with hydrocarbons, which is why they differ in their technical design from the compressors for HFC and HCFC refrigerants. This applies to the electrical equipment, the safety devices, the oil charge and the oil system. To distinguish them from compressors for fluorinated refrigerants, a "P" is added to the model designation.

All CSHP compressors are OEM products for installation in series systems.

For operation in an ATEX zone or Ex zone, it is imperative to select special Ex designs of the semi-hermetic reciprocating compressors or compact screw compressors.
