BITZER Condensing Units complying with the EU Ecodesign Regulation 2015/1095
29.06.2016The EU Ecodesign Regulation 2015/1095 for condensing units and process chillers for medium and low temperature application will go into effect in July 1, 2016, while the MEPS requirements (= Minimum Energy Performance Standards) will again be intensified significantly in July 2018.
BITZER has already implemented the necessary measures at an early stage in order to comply with or even exceed the efficiency criteria. For deliveries from the effective date, the (CE) Declaration of Conformity as well as supplementary documents for all product series will be available for download.

BITZER valide l’utilisation de fluides frigorigènes HFO sur ses compresseurs à vis

Au terme d’un vaste programme de qualification, BITZER, spécialiste des compresseurs frigorifiques, vient de valider les fluides frigorigènes HFO R1234yf et R1234ze(E) pour ses compresseurs à vis de séries CSH et CSW. Ces deux fluides de substitution au R134a témoignent d’un pouvoir de réchauffement global (GWP, de l’anglais Global Warming Potential) inférieur à 10, tandis que celui du R134a se situe autour de 1400. Les mélanges HFO/HFC R513A et R450A présentant chacun un GWP de 600 environ ont également été validés pour les séries CSH et CSW. Contrairement aux fluides frigorigènes HFO purs, ils ne sont pas inflammables.

Sindelfingen, 22.07.2015. With its new Ecodesign Regulation, from July 2016 the EU has specified high efficiency requirements for liquid chillers and condensing units, amongst other products. Manufacturers of liquid chillers can even exceed the high efficiency criteria if using BITZER reciprocating, screw and scroll compressors together with corresponding system design. Today, BITZER condensing units already meet the even stricter requirements which will apply from 2018, thus offering certainty when planning both short and long term projects.

“Japan is a very important market for BITZER and, with almost 38 million inhabitants, the metropolitan area of Tokyo is the largest conurbation in the world. This is why we have opened our second Japanese sales office in Tokyo, in addition to our existing office in Osaka,” said Ferdinand Spannan, BITZER Managing Director Japan K.K. “By increasing our presence in the capital city, we would like to move closer to both our important existing customers and to potential new customers, thus improving our turnover in the long term.”

Andreas Riesch has been working in technical sales for BITZER Germany and Switzerland since 2006. At the beginning of 2015, the 38-year-old engineer in environmental and supply technology will be taking over for Albrecht Höpfer, who has been BITZER Director Sales Germany and Switzerland since 2006 and has retired at the end of 2014. “My successor will ensure continuity in collaborations with our business partners,” says Albrecht Höpfer. “I’ve been working closely with Andreas Riesch in sales for many years now. He’s familiar with the responsibilities, the region and the team. I’m confident that he’ll be able to overcome all challenges.”
